2010-April 21. Hi Conrad, I want to thank you again for working with me to enable me to have both houses for my birthday celebration on April 17. We had a lovely dinner, and it was so nice that many of my friends didn't have to drive home. That enabled us to have a wonderful brunch on the deck in the morning as well, almost more memorable after a good night's sleep. Several of them stayed with me part of the day to enjoy the scenery, and having the villa the second night meant that we didn't have to rush. 2009-Nov 10 - I just wanted to tell you how enjoyable the Villa was. The accommodations were excellent! Especially the thoroughly stocked kitchen. The Villa will definitely be our choice of lodging for our next trip to wine country. It was such a peaceful place to get away from it all and surpassed all of our expectations. We also appreciated your insights and recommendations. We enjoyed every one we were able to visit. One question, every night we heard a bird that called all through the night. Note from Conrad: thanks . Interesting question on the bird. We have red-headed woodpeckers that live in the oak trees 24/7. They have a very unique call, but not usually at night. I suppose you may have had a visiting Mockingbird.
2009-Oct 24 - Just wanted to say thank you for the peaceful and relaxing time we spent in the villa. Not sure how our sons found you but we are very thankful they did. 2009-June 6 - I just wanted to thank you belatedly for our wonderful visit to your Farmhouse in May. What a lovely and welcoming place you have! We enjoyed the patio and the hot tub each evening for wind down time and we had two wonderful meals in your thoughtfully stocked kitchen. We really loved Sierra's art that decorated the walls; such a personal touch! Even though we didn't have a opportunity to meet you in our short stay, I felt like we were staying with good friends. I wish we had been able to stay longer! My husband and I definitely want to plan another trip here soon. Again, thank you for the memories of such an amazing little piece of heaven!

2009-Feb 11 - I just wanted to write and let you know what a wonderful time we all had at Dante Vineyards!!! Everything worked out so well. We got lucky with the weather on Saturday and enjoyed a day of wine tasting and shopping. Everyone agreed we'd like to come back again. Next year we will come down south but the following year (and every other year) we'd love to return to Dante Vineyards. Take care and thank you very much. 2008-Aug 10 - Our family had the most memorable time. For us to be all together was fantastic! The Villa was perfect and Michelle came up to introduce herself and invited my youngest daughter to her home to go horseback riding, she was thrilled! Graham was superb! We highly recommend his chef expertise! The food is exceptional and he is so personable. We can't say enough about the weekend. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and also a 50th birthday that weekend, so your Villa and Graham [and also Michelle] made everything perfect. We will be doing this again in the future. 2008-July 8 (villa) - Just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much Bill and I enjoyed our stay at 3550 Calistoga Road. We were greeted by Michelle, running through the field from the cottage. She also helped us the next evening with a stuck lock on the screen door of the master bedroom. She was awesome, please thank her for us. To be real, when Bill saw the outside of the house he had his reservations, but when we went inside everything changed. We ate out one night and cooked there all the rest of the nights. What a great, comfortable house and such beautiful surroundings. We sat outside every night. Never watched TV. Listened to good music on the satellite radio. Loved the jacuzzi. Thanks again for all your quick responses to my emails. If ever you want a great review we'll be happy to provide one.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, RUTH AND BILL (CA). [ note from Conrad - yes, our Villa looks rather ordinary on the outside, but it fits with the rural landscape. The inside is pretty fantastic -- quartz counters, travertine marble floors/walls, etc. It's camping in high style. ]

2007-Aug 31. We just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at the Villa. It definitely exceeded our expectations. The house is absolutely beautiful and we loved the decor. Everything was simply perfect from the comfortable environment to the well stocked bathroom and kitchen. We particularly enjoyed our barbeque dinners under the big oak tree, followed by a glass of madera by the outside fireplace. We found this wine while we were on one of our adventures this week. 2006-Oct 21. We left Sat. morning at 5am. We arrived in Napa around 12 ish and worked our way up 29. We arrived at your place at 5:30 so timing was perfect. - As was the "cottage"!! My friends and I loved it! - One of my guests wants to take her mother there and we are already planning a return trip. I've stayed in a lot of B&B's and yours is at the top of my list. Your location is awesome. As is the privacy, hot tub and everything, right down to the roaming deer. Glad you threw them in, and at no extra cost! I will go onto the trip advisor web site and Napa Valley message board and post there. Is there anyplace else you would like me to post? 2006-June 10-17 - This is our last morning here and was surprised to find a deer eating right by the hot tub. Beautiful. The fighting hummers [hummingbirds] have been very entertaining this past week. I made fresh nectar for them in case you are wondering what happened to the sugar. We have been all over Napa, Sonoma, out to the coast, Russian River. - The wineries are so lovely and I loved the gardens at Korbel. But my favorite part of the day was coming back to the cottage and enjoying wine on the patio and soaking in the views. I love to cook, so we had some really great meals here. Dean is King of the Grill and Lisa is Queen of Salmon. This is my first visit to this part of CA, but god willing, it won't be my last. - This is a blessed place. Your home in Calistoga is testament to the truth that America is still pristine in patches, almost like a little bit of heaven on earth. - We very much enjoyed the time, from the sweetly stashed kitchen to the comfortable beds to the very relaxing hot tub.
